Q: What BSA Council does Troop 228 belong to?

A: Westchester-Putnam Council (serving the Boy Scouts of America community of Westchester and Putnam counties in southern New York State).

Q: How should I address my check to pay for an upcoming Troop 228 event?

A: Checks should be made out to: BSA Troop 228

UNIFORMS

Q: What are the different uniform types and when should a Scout wear them?

A: There are two main categories of Scout uniforms:

  1. Class A: Formal uniform including shirt, pants/shorts, belt, neckerchief, hat and merit badge sash. Class As should be worn to all ceremonial functions as well as the first troop meeting of each month.
  2. Class B: Informal uniform including any BSA-related T-Shirt or sweatshirt. Class Bs may be worn to all other troops meetings, activities or functions.
